Vida are a British five piece from Alloa, a small town situated in the heart of Scotland, between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Formed in early 2013 when Nathan Evans (lead guitar) and Ross McShane (bass) reconnected with old school friend Jamie Pollock (lead vocals, guitar). The band was then completed by the integration of Jamie Piggott (drums) later that year and more recently the added luxury of Greg Ballantyne (keyboards).
After a few years of constant gigging between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Vida began to strike a chord with the Scottish Indie Rock & Roll scene with energy filled performances at well renowned venues such as King Tut's Wah Wah Hut and at XFM's This Feeling shows in cities across Scotland. Their music is often cited as a "wall of sound", full of melodies that will take audiences on a reminiscent trip back to the 90's Britpop era.
