We are The Indieannas, a 4 piece Original Indie Rock 'n' Roll band from Buxton

Every so often a band makes the breakthrough by virtue of sheer persistence and a feelgood buzz reverberating around each si
gnificant move they make. If there is one such collective out there at present it is the supremely accomplished four-piece The Indieannas, a band who operate on a fusion of indie, dance and rock to capture the attention and musical affections of fans and observers wherever they go. The Indieannas made a huge amount of headway under their previous guise as The Stand, working from the foundation of their roots in Buxton, Derbyshire to gain widespread acclaim within the scenes of Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool.

Their landmark appearances at the world-famous ‘home of The Beatles’, The Cavern Club, were followed up with an admirably continuous stream of gigs atvarious venues and events, including a first foray into London’s Soho, before 2012 signalled a further rise in popularity. A Facebook vote for a chance to perform at the renowned Y Not Festival provided the most perfect piece of evidence to suggest just how strong the band’s support is. All other competitors were left trailing as 2800 votes secured their Y Not spot alongside the premier names of the likes of Reverend and the Makers and The Pigeon Detectives.

The superbly inimitable vocals of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Ged Potts are backed by three other members who each bring their own skill to create a mix which stands out far and above the norm. Mark Whibberley performs his role as bass guitaristwith consummate assurance and class, providing a vital cornerstone to The Indieannas. Drummer Chris Morton’s ferociously energetic displays give an incredible aurato the gigs, pushing the band on to an even greater level, creating a fantastic audience experience. The exuberance of the guitarist Courtney Goddard, brings a new dimension to The Indieannas’ vibe, as he plays wonderfully in tandem with his bandmates, grabbing his moments to shine when they arise. What sets The Indieannas apart is the marker of vintage quality allied with the adaptability to move with the times. You cannot fake true musical craftsmanship and this band puts it together with a party atmosphere that will only continue to add to their masses of admirers.
