Formed in 2010, Roses of Wallam are a 5 piece indie band from the East Midlands comprised of lead singer Matthew Taylor, lead guitarist Joe Fields, rhythm guitarist Rob Latham-Jenkins, bassist Ben Edwards, and drummer Stu Revill.

2013 saw the release of their first single ‘Made Up’, released via Sound Hub Records on Sunday 5th May 2013 via iTunes.

Lead singer Matthew ‘Maff’ Taylor’s vocals mirror Madchester favourites from the 90’s such as Ian Brown, the Gallaghers, Bobby Gillespie and Shaun Ryder.

Joe’s powerful, harmonic and eclectic lead guitar is something not often heard in modern rock, where the power of the solo has sadly been overlooked. Rob and Ben provide the melodic and surging rhythm for the band, while Stu provides the heartbeat on the drums and melody on backing vox.

Roses of Wallam aim to drag indie back into the mainstream by reintroducing the world to swaggering baselines, killer melodies, funky rhythms, bouncing drum beats and good old fashion Rock and Roll.

The Roses sound is influenced by classic 90’s bands like The Stone Roses, Primal Scream, The Charlatans and Oasis, but also fashioned by modern rock artists like Kasabian and Kings of Leon. The upcoming EP gives a flavour of the different styles the Roses have to offer, and a full album release is in the offing for the near future.

After a number of years of playing to sold out crowds all across the midlands, it is finally time for the nation to sample what Roses of Wallam have to offer.
